The Association for the Care of People with Intellectual Disabilities in Villena and the Surrounding Area (APADIS) is a non-profit organisation that was founded in late 1969. APADIS's mission is to serve people with intellectual disabilities and their families, offering strategic resources and support to those who need them for their development and full inclusion in society.
APADIS' collaboration with the EMPOWERPLAY project is based on participation in various workshops and activities to test the cognitive accessibility of the different materials developed in the project. Beneficiaries and staff from the organisation have collaborated proactively in these workshops.
