FUB Stockholm is an interest organisation that works to ensure that children, young people and adults with intellectual disabilities can live a good life. We are one of about 150 local associations within the national organisation FUB with a total of about 25,000 members throughout Sweden.

Our goal is for people with intellectual disabilities to be able to live like others and get support when needed.

FUB Stockholm’s main task is to work to create good living conditions for people with intellectual disabilities and their relatives. We work with interest policy monitoring in collaboration with the city and disability organisations. Our ambition is to try to capture members’ needs for networks, knowledge, social contacts and meeting places.

FUB Stockholm is led by a board and a head of operations. There is also a working committee consisting of the chairman and vice-chairman of FUB Stockholm, the chairman of Stockholms-Inre Ringen and the head of operations. The board has various working groups attached to it that work on different parts of the organisation on behalf of the board.

The board is appointed by the annual meeting. What we will concentrate on is stated in the business plan each year.

FUB Stockholm also has representatives on most of the city’s disability councils.
